Allouez names Jim March as new village administrator

ALLOUEZ – On Nov. 25, Allouez announced the hiring of Jim March as its new village administrator.

Jim will assume his duties on Jan. 2, succeeding Brad Lange, who is retiring after 30 years of service to the village.

“Brad Lange’s contributions to Allouez have been transformative. Over his 20 years as parks and recreation director, Brad was instrumental in developing a park system that has become one of the village’s defining features,” a release from the village stated.

“Under his leadership, Allouez became a hub for youth football, soccer, softball, baseball, tennis and outdoor recreation, creating spaces for families and residents to enjoy and connect with nature within an urban setting.

“As village administrator for the past decade, Brad led Allouez through significant planning and development initiatives, created a positive work environment focused on serving our residents, while maintaining an efficient and effective local government.”

Reflecting on his service, Brad Lange said, “It has been an incredible honor to serve the village of Allouez as both parks director and administrator. Allouez is a special community, and I am proud to call it my home.”

“We are deeply grateful for Brad’s three decades of dedicated service to Allouez,” said Allouez Village President Jim Rafter. “He has made Allouez a model community for families, and his legacy will continue to benefit generations to come. We wish him a well-deserved and fulfilling retirement.”

Jim March brings experience to the role of village administrator, with over 25 years of leadership in municipal government and private enterprise.

“His background includes significant accomplishments in economic development, staff development and efficient government operations,” the release added.

“Most recently, Jim served as town administrator for Grand Chute, where he managed a team of 160 employees, developed an annual general fund budget exceeding $20 million, and oversaw significant community growth, including the creation of four tax increment districts and the addition of over $1 billion to the local tax base.

“In his role, he also served as board chair for the Fox Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau, Tourism Grants Committee, Fox Cities Room Tax Commission, and Fox Cities Sports Development Board.”

Jim’s career includes leadership roles in Centerville and North Oaks, Minn., where he directed budget creation, secured successful grants and managed diverse operational areas.

He holds a masters and a bachelors in urban and regional studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a minor in economics.

March will participate in his first village board meeting on Jan. 7.
