Domnick wins the 500 Yard Free

ASHWAUBENON-Freshman Hallory Domnick came into the Fox River Classic Conference Swim Tournament as an underdog in her favorite event; the 500 Yard Free.

Domnick turned the tables on Pulaski’s Rachel Stumpf Saturday afternoon by winning the race by a whopping six seconds and setting a personal record! And by the way she defeated 19 other swimmers in the event as well.

Domnick swam the final 50 meters in 30.97 of a 20-lap swim to win the gold medal.

She also placed 2^nd in the 200 Yard Free just behind Redbird standout Bri Zablocki.

Senior Emma Steffel had a very good showing as well at the Ashwaubenon Community Pool.

She placed 3^rd in the 50 Yard Free and 100 Yard Backstroke, and was part of two relay teams (200 Medley and 400 Free) that finished 2^nd.

Overall, the Jaguar swim team finished 2^nd at the conference meet with 439 points and they will be back in action when they host the Division 2 WIAA Sectional next weekend to see who advances to the State Tournament held Nov. 10 and 11 in Madison
