GREEN BAY – As the City of Green Bay prepares to host the NFL Draft on April 24-26, Green Bay Metro Transit has announced special Draft days scheduling.
To facilitate easy travel between Downtown Green Bay and the Titletown area, Metro Transit is introducing a special route.
The service will provide direct and convenient transportation and operate with regular frequency to accommodate the high volume of attendees.
Routes 8 and 9 will operate on detoured paths during the event.
Specific detour details are as follows: Route 8 Detour: April 24-26, with additional detours from April 13-23 and April 28 to May 2; Route 9 Detour: April 22-28.
This service will maintain its regular schedule and operating hours throughout the event, however there will be many street closures that may limit drop-off or pickup location.
To facilitate easy travel for all attendees, fares will be waived on the Downtown to Titletown route and GBM On Demand during all zone times.
Several street closures may affect drop-off and pickup locations.
Metro Transit recommends using its online Bus Tracker for real-time updates on service changes.
“At Green Bay Metro Transit, safety is our top priority. We encourage all passengers to be patient and flexible during this time. For the latest information on route changes and detours, please visit our website or follow us on Facebook,” a Metro Transit release stated.
