Family-friendly Fall Fest returns to Broadway District

Posted

Those looking for an event for the whole family this fall can look forward to the return of Fall Fest on Broadway, scheduled to take place this Saturday, Oct. 3.

Organized by On Broadway, Inc., Fall Fest will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park and River Walk Trail. This event will include a variety of fall-themed activities and local business vendors.
“Kids activities will include pumpkin painting, a corn pit, princesses and bounce houses,” said Mary Rhode, vice president of marketing and communications for On Broadway, Inc. “Plus Mischief and Magic will be there offering face painting, balloon animals, and more! Additionally, we’ll have trick or treating around the event, wagon rides, live music, food trucks and free admission into the Neville Public Museum!”

There will be over 30 small business vendors at the event, selling fall-themed items for everyone.

“Supporting small businesses is at the core of On Broadway’s mission,” said Rhode. “Whether it is putting on the events that we do to bring more foot traffic to the Broadway District and downtown or including small business vendors in all of our events. We continually want the notion of ‘shopping small’ to be top of mind for the local community and visitors alike.”

This event is one of many put on by On Broadway, Inc., “all with the goal of providing free, welcoming, and community-focused fun in and around the Broadway District,” Rhode added. “We want our events to bring people together and provide them more reasons to come downtown, visit our shops, eat in our restaurants and genuinely enjoy the aesthetics that make the Broadway District unique and special.”

Put on your best fall outfits or Halloween costumes, gather the family and head to Fall Fest on Broadway for some seasonal shopping and fun.
