Future 15: Travis J. Vanden Heuvel

Posted

GREEN BAY – “I grew up in Northeast Wisconsin, surrounded by a tight-knit community and a family that taught me the value of hard work, faith and showing up for others. Those lessons shaped who I am today,” said Travis J. Vanden Heuvel.

“I earned my degree from St. Norbert College, where I developed a passion for history, storytelling and leadership. Early in my career, I worked in admissions, where I honed my skills in connecting with people and building relationships.

“Over the years, I’ve held roles ranging from CEO to vice president of business development, focusing on business growth, marketing and community engagement.

“Currently, I’m at KHROME, a creative agency where I lead initiatives that bring meaningful stories to life and help businesses make a lasting impact.
Vanden Heuvel said that two things stand out in guiding his career path.

“First, my passion for storytelling. Whether it’s crafting a marketing campaign, writing a book or advocating for a nonprofit, I’ve always believed in the power of a well-told story to inspire action and create change,” he said.

“Second, my commitment to community. Serving on boards, volunteering and working with nonprofits has taught me the importance of relationships and how much we can accomplish when we collaborate for a common goal. Those experiences have been a guiding force in every step of my career.

“I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can merge my love for history, the arts and community impact with strategic leadership. I see myself continuing to lead in ways that build meaningful connections—whether it’s advocating for a nonprofit, steering an organization through a major campaign, or creating experiences that enrich people’s lives. Whatever’s next, I know it will involve storytelling, community and making a difference.”

Vanden Heuvel said his leadership values center around trust, empowerment and service.

“I believe in building a culture where people feel valued, heard and supported, and where they have the tools they need to succeed. Servant leadership is a principle I hold dear — leading isn’t about standing above but walking alongside others. I also value transparency and accountability, ensuring that every decision reflects integrity and a shared purpose,” he said.

Vanden Heuvel said that his mother, Cheri, had a profound influence in his life.
“She showed me what it means to love unconditionally, to serve others selflessly and to live a life of faith and grace. Her strength and compassion continue to inspire me every day. Professionally, I’ve always admired leaders who balance vision with humility — those who think big but never forget the people they’re serving. That combination of ambition and heart is something I strive to emulate,” he added.

Leading up to the 2025 Future 15 & Young Professionals Awards banquet on Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Oneida Casino Hotel, we will be highlighting the finalists in each edition of the Press Times.
