Julius Peppers will wear No. 56 for the Packers

No. 56 was, of late, most famously worn by linebacker Nick Barnett. We thought Peppers might go for something in the 40's, either his old college football or basketball number, but 56 it is. It's still better in our opinion than, say, 91, which is an unattractive, uneven-looking number. The other good news here is that, for any of you out there with a Barnett jersey, now with some tape and a permanent marker, you've got a Julius Peppers jersey! Congratulations!

And okay maybe this is going a little too far but heck we'll stand by it:
