DE PERE – Ken Geurts has been recognized as the 2025 ‘Member of the Year’ by the De Pere Area Men’s Club.

The award was presented during the club’s annual holiday banquet held at The Swan Club in De Pere.

Geurts is a lifelong resident of De Pere and has been a member of the De Pere Area Men’s Club since retiring from his career as a supervisor and trainer in the paper industry.

He currently serves his community on the Men’s Club board of directors and as President of the Ledgeview Sewer and Water Commission.

Each year the De Pere Area Men’s club recognizes a member who has distinguished himself by participating in and leading numerous club projects.

Members are nominated based upon their contributions to the club and community, and then from those nominated, a member is chosen to receive the award.

Ken Geurts participates in numerous club activities and fund-raising initiatives and was on the team that raised more than $4,000 to help needy school children through the Hands Across De Pere program.

“Ken is a dedicated volunteer for the De Pere Area Men’s Club as well as other organizations within the De Pere community,” stated club President, Jack Driscoll. “We are fortunate to have Ken Geurts as a member who gives his time and knowledge back to our community.”

The De Pere Men’s Club is a community focused organization composed of more than 40 retired men who are dedicated on making De Pere and surrounding community a better place to live. New members are welcomed and invited to attend the club’s Tuesday morning meetings held at 9 a.m. at the De Pere Community Center, 600 Grant St.
