Fireworks viewing locations for Festival Foods Fire Over the Fox

Posted

If your July 4th plans include a visit to downtown Green Bay to view the largest fireworks show in Northeast Wisconsin, On Broadway, Inc. has a few tips to know before you attend this year.

Festival Foods Fire Over the Fox is Green Bay’s July 4 celebration and begins on 3 p.m., culminating in a spectacular fireworks display over the Fox River in downtown Green Bay at 9:45 p.m.

This large community event includes plenty of family fun, food trucks, live music on
multiple stages and so much more!

This year’s event has a few alterations to popular fireworks viewing spots due to a large project by NEW Water, the brand of the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District. Large black pipes are located within and around viewing areas.

For safety and security, residents and festival goers are asked to please keep off of this important infrastructure. These pipes are part of the Downtown Interceptors Renewal Project, which is needed to renew sanitary sewers that have been in operation since the 1930s. Learn more about the project at newwater.us/downtown.

This project will affect the east side of the Fox River, in the area of the Hampton Inn. Access to the Fox River Trail from the Main St. Bridge will be restricted. Watch for signage for access points.

Additional seating options:

VIP Seating Area: This ticketed option provides you a chair along the waterfront in Leicht Park. Tickets are $12 each and can be purchased at the event.

Dousman St. bridge: No matter where you are on the bridge, you’re provided an unobstructed view to see all the action.

City Deck and Fox River Trail, south of the Main Street/Dousman Street bridge.
