How would you describe your music?
Alt-country/folk rock.
What inspires you to create music?
More than anything I’m inspired by the music that I love. Everything from giants like Dylan and Neil Young, to an ever-growing assortment of rock ‘n roll, alt-country and indie bands still working on the fringe. I also take a lot of inspiration from reading, whether it be novels, non-fiction or poetry. Mix in these influences with a little bit of my own lived experience and that’s when and where the songs tend to come from.
What is your favorite part of performing live?
Just getting to feel how a crowd engages with my music and my presence on-stage. For me, so much of playing music is about building and bolstering community, and playing live is where so much of that magic happens.
