DE PERE — The De Pere area service clubs have named Patrick J. Moran as the 2025 recipient of the De Pere Community Silver Knight Award.
“Pat has been serving the community of De Pere, charitable organizations, and individuals in a variety of capacities for many years. Pat is a member of the Abbot Pennings Council of the Knights of Columbus and he and his wife Linda, have volunteered for the annual Tootsie Roll sales, Christmas Tree sales, Free Throw contest and helps out at the De Pere Christian Outreach facility. Pat has also served as a Cub Scout leader, 4H leader and a Soccer coach,” a joint release stated.
“Pat is a Vietnam veteran and a member of the VFW Post 2113 and has held many leadership roles.
“He was instrumental in the VFW Park Pool Project, the VFW Department of Wisconsin Golf Outing and the De Pere Fire Rescue Flag Pole Project.
“Equally as important is how Pat serves his family, friends, and neighbors through his volunteering efforts at Our Lady of Lourdes parish.”
Moran will be honored at the Silver Knight Awards Banquet on Monday, Oct. 20, at the Swan Club in De Pere.
Since 1968, the Silver Knight Award has been presented to “outstanding individuals nominated by De Pere service clubs, civic organizations or members of the community.”
