At what age did you start playing your main sport?
I started playing softball around five years old.

Who introduced you to the sport?
My dad.

Has this always been your favorite sport?
Yes.

What is your favorite part about this sport?
Being able to fail and still learn how to get better. You can always get better at everything you do in softball.

What fuels your passion towards the sport?

Getting to play with some of my best friends.

How have you grown, athletically or academically, throughout your years in high school?
Athletically I’ve learned that it is okay to fail. There are days where I struggled a lot but over time I’ve learned to be okay with failing.

What is your favorite class you’ve taken in high school?
I like taking psychology classes.

What would you say is your biggest asset as an athlete?
My ability to adapt to every situation thrown my way.

What is one goal you’ve set for yourself that you’re especially proud of achieving?
Being able to stay consistent throughout my career in almost everything I do. My goal was to be reliable to my team and when I was able to stay consistent I surpassed that goal.

What is your favorite part of being a student-athlete in your community?

My community always cheered me on, they were always supportive of me and my teammates no matter how we played.

How do you think your career of being a student-athlete has shaped you as a person?
I’ve learned to not get down on myself and to always look on the bright side of things. Life isn’t always going to be perfect but staying positive allows for the lows to not be as bad.

Outside of sports, do you have any other hobbies?
I enjoy being in nature and just being outside, usually I’ll be taking my dog for a walk or just lay outside reading.

If you could have any superpower to help you in your sport, what would it be and why?
Super speed, that way I can get to every ball and run the bases extra fast.

How do you deal with the pressure of a competition, particularly a tough game?
I just remember that I have worked hard to get where I am and nobody can take that away from me. I know how good I am and no matter what happens I’ll be okay.

Favorite pregame song?

“Fancy,” Drake feat. T.I.

Is there a specific beverage you drink before or during a game?
I usually always have a Gatorade or Propel before and during games.

Future Plans? (college, major, career, etc.)
I will be attending the UW-Madison to continue my academic and athletic career majoring in Psychology while playing softball.
