How did you get started playing your sport?
How has the balance between academics and athletics changed for you from freshman to senior year?
During my freshman year, it was a struggle to learn how to balance school alongside a long basketball season. Every year it gets easier, and now it seems like forever since I was learning to be a student athlete.
What is your favorite part of this sport? What is the most challenging part of this sport?
My favorite part of this sport is the relationships I have built and the friends I have created on the high school team and AAU. The most challenging part is the effect the long season can have on you and how draining it can be with the ups and downs of the season.
What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?
My junior year, my team and I made it to state for the first time in 48 years. It was a special moment, getting to experience with my sister for her last year.
Do you have a bucket list goal that pertains to your sport?
Make it to State again!
How does it feel as a senior, to look back throughout high school and see your growth (as a person and athlete)?
Do you have any pre-game rituals/routines/superstitions?
I always warm-up with gum and do a shooting workout before the game.
Dream vacation destination?
Greece.
Any quotes that help you in your sport or life in general?
“If you’re not making mistakes, then you’re not doing anything.” -John Wooden
Favorite food?
Steak and mashed potatoes.
Random fun fact about you?
Any hobbies outside of your sport?
Shopping, hanging out with friends and staying active in the outdoors.
Favorite movie/TV show?
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to shout out?
My high school coaches including Coach Abaray, Coach Vogels and Coach Lindsey! My AAU Coaches, Todd Bierwowski and Ryan Clark.
Future Plans? (college, major, career, etc.)
Still undecided but I am going to major in nursing.
