Career Highlight: Going to the State Basketball Tournament three out of my four years in highschool and winning my freshmen year.

How did you get started playing your sport(s)?
Growing up with a twin brother, I have always been super competitive and my parents put me into as many sports as they could as soon as I could walk. I grew up surrounded by sports and have loved them ever since.

How has the balance between academics and athletics changed for you from freshman to senior year?
The biggest change for me between academics and athletics from my freshman year to now is that I have learned how to manage my time better. I’ve learned how to prioritize both academics and school while still being successful in both.

What is your favorite part of this sport?
My favorite part about playing sports is that it provides me a competitive outlet from all the stressful things in my life. I get to see my best friends everyday all while doing something that I love. I know that no matter what, I’m going to have a fun two hours after school no matter how many tests or how much homework I have.

What is the most challenging part of this sport?
The most challenging part about sports for me is being okay with an off night. I would consider myself a perfectionist and I strive to perform my absolute best every night so sometimes it can be hard for me to accept when that doesn’t happen.

What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?

My most memorable experience in high school sports so far was winning State my freshmen year for basketball. The entirety of our spring break was spent with the team and we had so much fun preparing to accomplish the same goal.

Do you have a bucket list goal that pertains to your sport?
First Team FRCC All-Conference Infielder.

Do you have any pre-game rituals/routines/superstitions?
I wear the same exact ribbon in my hair for every softball game.

Dream vacation destination?
New York City for Christmas

Favorite food?
Filet Mignon.

Random fun fact about you?

I am a black belt in karate!

Any hobbies outside of your sport?
I love any live music and I also love to travel.

Favorite movie/TV show?
Top Gun: Maverick.

Looking forward to most about graduating?
I cannot wait to get a fresh start in a new state and meet so many new people all while studying something I’m passionate about. I also can’t wait for the Indiana football games...Go Hoosiers!

Any summer plans before going off to college/work?
I’m going to South Carolina with one of my best friends and softball teammates!
