How did you get started playing your sport(s)?
Since I was three my dad has always shown me and taught me the game of football. We would always have a ball and play catch in the yard and even the living room or kitchen.

How has the balance between academics and athletics changed for you from freshman to senior year?
Very different now from freshman year, at least for me. I didn’t realize how much grades mattered until it was almost too late. It took a tough freshman year before I realized that grades matter just as much as the field. Now I’ve learned to stay focused and take care of the work in the classroom.

What is your favorite part of this sport?

Well in football, for sure hitting someone. But the most memorable moments are definitely the bonding with my team. Whether it’s a celebration after a win or the struggles after a loss, it’s always awesome to stay grinding with the boys and putting in the work together.

What is the most challenging part of this sport?
Definitely the mental part. I feel most athletes have struggled with just the mental drainage of being a student athlete, especially a multi- sport athlete. It’s never easy grinding your tail off in your sport, then turning around the next morning getting up for 8 hours of a long school day. And repeating it over and over. That’s never easy for anyone.

Do you have a bucket list goal that pertains to your sport?
Yea, I keep goals. Mainly throughout the seasons I make new ones and make them a higher standard each time. Right now I’m hoping for my best season senior year to hopefully carry my game to the next level. If it doesn’t work out for football, I still plan to go to college majoring in sports marketing. At least that’s where I’m at now. I know I have some time yet to figure it out.

Do you have any pre-game rituals/routines/superstitions?
Yea, and what I do is I try and find at least a couple minutes before kickoff to just close my eyes, block out everything and take some time to bring it all into focus. Really flip that switch to game mode.

Dream vacation destination?
Not much of a traveler, but probably Brazil.

Favorite food?

Some fire chicken Alfredo.

Random fun fact about you?
I’m dawg at NCAA 27.

Any hobbies outside of your sport?
Music, weightlifting, going out with some friends,

Favorite movie/TV show?
All American, hands down.

Looking forward to most about graduating?
Creating new experiences.

Any summer plans before going off to college/work?

Hopefully a nice trip to Miami!

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to shout out?
I would shout out everyone in the program if it wouldn’t take forever, but definitely my head coach and offensive coordinator, for not giving up on me when I was slacking. My QB1 BEST IN THE CONFERENCE! And all my teammates who show up, put the work in, and would go to war and back for me. And lastly my defensive line coach, Coach Hartert, AKA coach G. He was my coach since freshman year and instantly we had a click. He saw something special in me and let me know that I had something special, like really he told me everyday how good I had it, and not to mess it up. And ever since then and to this day, he has never stopped pushing me.

Future Plans? (college, major, career, etc.)
Hopefully go play college ball somewhere while studying sports marketing.
