Career Highlight:
My career highlight for volleyball is winning a regional championship with my team. For basketball, it was going undefeated in conference and taking first place. My soccer highlight is starting on varsity as a freshman.
How did you get started playing your sport(s)?
I started playing volleyball because my mom, older sister, and cousins played so I wanted to play, too. I started basketball when I was very young because my dad played. I played soccer because my older brother played and I liked to run a lot.
How has the balance between academics and athletics changed for you from freshman to senior year?
What is your favorite part of this sport?
Making lifelong friendships and experiences through sports that I wouldn’t have otherwise is my favorite part about being involved in sports.
What is the most challenging part of this sport?
Balancing three sports and all of the offseason workouts for each has been really difficult because I try to prioritize each sport during its respective season.
Do you have a bucket list goal that pertains to your sport?
My biggest goal is to make a run to state in any sport.
Do you have any pre-game rituals/routines/superstitions?
Before each game I rest, do my hair, drink a Gatorade and talk with my teammates.
Dream vacation destination?
Favorite food?
Lucky Charms and boneless wings.
Random fun fact about you?
I can solve a Rubik’s Cube.
Any hobbies outside of your sport?
I enjoy reading, fishing, water sports, hanging out with friends and family and watching football.
Favorite movie/TV show?
Ace Ventura Pet Detective is my favorite movie and Friends is my favorite TV show.
Looking forward to most about graduating?
Any summer plans before going off to college/work?
I hope to spend as much time with friends and family before leaving for college.
Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to shout out?
I would like to give a shoutout to all of my high school and club coaches. I appreciate all of the effort they have put into making my teams successful. I also want to thank all of my teammates who make playing each day so much fun.
Future Plans? (college, major, career, etc.)
I plan to major in computer engineering and computer science in college.
