Lehr to replace Jones as board secretary
GREEN BAY – Kinsey Lehr has taken over the role of Green Bay School Board secretary for Beth Jones, as she announced she is leaving the district for a different position.
Before assuming the role, Lehr was the executive assistant to Claudia Henrickson, executive director of Student Services.
Jones’ last day was Tuesday, May 24.
Insight Creative adds to team
GREEN BAY – Insight Creative, Inc. recently added Theresa Tebon and Jordan Leon to its staff – expanding its content creation team.
Both University of Wisconsin-Green Bay graduates, Tebon was hired as a social media specialist, while Leon was hired as a digital copywriter.
Food truck rally
BELLEVUE – The first of two summer food truck rallies at Josten Park is scheduled for 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 5.
The rally will include a variety of food options, live music and refreshments.
Optimist club achievement awards
DE PERE – The De Pere Optimist Club presented six high school students with the Young Citizens Award for Outstanding Achievement at its annual luncheon May 16.
Two students from De Pere High School and two from West De Pere High School were awarded $1,000 scholarships to the college of their choice, while one student from each school was awarded $500 scholarships to the technical college of their choice.
The Optimist Club presents its annual scholarships to students for their involvement in community service volunteer projects, as well as their academic success.

Festival, Kwik Trip launch gas rewards program
GREEN BAY –Skogen’s Festival Foods and Kwik Trip launched a statewide fuel savings partnership May 25.
The Festival Foods Gas Rewards Program allows Festival Foods shoppers the opportunity to earn one cent off Kwik Trip fuel purchases for every $10 spent at Festival Foods.
That means with every $100 spent on groceries, customers can save 10 cents off per gallon of fuel at their next fill-up.
Those interested in participating can pick up a Festival Foods Gas Rewards card at Festival locations throughout Wisconsin.
Cards need to be registered prior to earning points.

Nearly $8,000 awarded in mindfulness grants
GREEN BAY – Wello, a local nonprofit, awarded $7,637 to 29 teachers and staff across 15 schools in the Green Bay School District.
Wello staff presented a check to the district on Wednesday, May 25, at Tank Elementary.
Beth Heller, director of Strategic Partnerships for Wello, said recipients of the grants include teachers in grades kindergarten through high school, as well as special education teachers, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, social workers and a library media specialist.
Some of the items purchased with the funds include yoga mats, mindfulness books, furniture, weighted blankets and calming lighting items.
“The mindfulness mini-grants that school staff applied for were such a huge support during a time when these items are critically important,” Emily Jahnke, social work coordinator for the district, said.
Funding for the Wello grants is supported through the Dr. Scholl Foundation.
Road closures on Bellevue Street
BELLEVUE – For the next eight weeks, Bellevue Street (Highway XX) will be closed to northbound traffic from Verlin Road to the railroad tracks.
The closure is part of the road’s resurfacing project.
The Brown County Highway Department is repairing curb and gutter, removing the existing pavement, fixing poor underlying areas and putting down new asphalt on Bellevue Street between Allouez Avenue and the railroad tracks.
Northbound traffic will be detoured using Allouez Avenue (Highway O), Lime Kiln Road (Highway V) and Mason Street.
Summer camp at the Neville
BROWN COUNTY – The Neville Public Museum is offering two options for summer camps for kids going into grades 3-6.
Drop off starts at 8:45 a.m. and pick up is at 3 p.m.
Registration for each Tuesday closes the preceding Wednesday at noon.
Week 1: June 27-30
Campers start the week off learning all about dinosaurs and other ancient creatures and end the week blasting off to outer space.
Week 2: July 25-28
This week is all about building and design. Campers put their creative minds to work as they construct and test race cars, bridges and towers; as well as get messy with paint, modeling dough and slime, and use artifacts from home to create an exhibit all about your story.

Parking attendants and ushers needed
GREEN BAY – PMI Entertainment Group, which manages game-day operations for the Green Bay Packers, is looking to add to its team with the hiring of parking attendants and ushers for Lambeau Field events and for all 2022 Packers home games.
Parking attendants will work in parking lots in and around Lambeau Field.
Ushers will assist fans once they’re inside the stadium.

GREEN BAY – Paul’s Pantry will now host monthly Open House orientations at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College to help those interested in enrolling.
Anyone interested in enrolling for certificates, associate's degrees, GED/HSED or ELL are encouraged to attend.
The event includes a tour of the campus, tips on applying to the school and answers to any questions.

GREEN BAY – Webfitters, a Green Bay-based web design company, has moved to a new location in downtown Green Bay – at 520 N. Broadway Suite 370.
“There is a lot happening on and around Broadway,” owner John Walczyk said. “It’s a really cool part of Green Bay. We thought this location would be a great fit for our growing team and clients.”
47th annual PBS Wisconsin auction
WISCONSIN – The 47th annual PBS Wisconsin Auction aimed at raising funds to support the educational programming and community outreach activities, is set for June 2-12.
More than 2,500 items will be up for bid during the online auction, valued at more than $250,000.

Wellness practitioner opens new studio
DE PERE – Wellness practitioner Rena Esposito recently opened Whole Body Balancing, a wellness studio, at 920 Oak St. with assistance from the Main Street Bounceback Grant Program.
“I am thrilled to be back home in Wisconsin and so fortunate to have opened the doors to my own business here in De Pere in January 2022, thanks to a grant from the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission,” Esposito said.
