ASHWAUBENON - In a commanding performance on Friday night, the Pulaski Red Raiders (4-2 overall) triumphed over the Ashwaubenon Jaguars (2-3 overall) with a decisive 42–7 victory—spoiling Ashwaubenon’s homecoming celebration in the process.

Pulaski Head Coach Jerad Marsh, expressed pride in his team’s depth and consistency.

“We had a lot of guys on the field today, and there was no drop-off. They really pulled through,” Marsh said following the win.

Pulaski delivered a dominant showing on both sides of the ball, executing with discipline and cohesion. When asked about the challenges Ashwaubenon presented,  Marsh acknowledged their tactical efforts. “They did a really nice job of screening on the field, hiding their back—made it hard for us to find him. When they picked up the pace offensively, they put together a really solid drive that challenged us and made us work harder.”

The Red Raiders’ success was due largely to a combination of defensive resilience, efficient passing and explosive plays—but one standout was running back Bohdan Schmidt, who scored two touchdowns and contributed several pivotal plays.

Schmidt credited the defense for laying the groundwork for the win. “What made the biggest difference on the field was definitely our defense. They had about six or seven stops that were a big help,” he noted.

Coach Marsh echoed the sentiment, emphasizing Schmidt’s team-first mentality. “He’s done a really nice job all season—not just individually, but for the team as a whole.”

Though Schmidt’s touchdowns provided a spark for the Red Raiders, he remained focused on the bigger picture. When asked how it felt to win in front of Ashwaubenon’s homecoming crowd, Schmidt said, “It felt pretty good, but we have to get back to the drawing board and focus on next week—for our own homecoming.”

Pulaski’s victory showcased not just talent, but preparation and unity. The Red Raiders left Ashwaubenon with a statement win and momentum heading into their own homecoming week against Appleton West. Following the loss, Ashwaubenon looks to bounce back next week as they host West De Pere in a tough match up.
