Susan Carol (Sommers) Remondini

Susan Carol (Sommers) Remondini, age 80, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, with her husband and daughter by her side.

Susan was born on May 1, 1946, in Green Bay, WI, to Clarice (Pamperin) and Richard W. Sommers and was a 1964 graduate of Xavier High School in Appleton, WI. She married Raymond W. Remondini on November 26, 1966, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Appleton, WI.

Susan was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She devoted her life to caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and kindness. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured the time spent together, especially the moments shared with her grandchildren. Susan had a gentle spirit, a generous heart, and a quiet strength that touched the lives of those around her.

Throughout her life, Susan held a variety of roles, including switchboard operator, medical office receptionist, bookkeeper, and crossing guard. Above all, however, she considered her greatest accomplishment to be a devoted mother. She took great joy in supporting her daughter and was always willing to volunteer her time for school activities, events, and any opportunity to be involved in Toni’s life.

Susan was an avid golfer, and she and Ray enjoyed playing together in a couples league for more than 30 years. She also enjoyed bowling, volleyball, softball, and touch football. She ashared her love of sports by umpiring girls’ softball for many years. A devoted sports fan, Susan especially loved cheering on the Packers, Brewers and Badgers.

Susan and her husband, Ray, were deeply devoted to one another and shared a life built on love, companionship, and family. They enjoyed spending time together outdoors, especially camping, where they created many cherished memories with family and friends. Susan treasured the moments that brought people together.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raymond W. Remondini; daughter, Toni (Dave) Herkert. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Noah (Kailey) Herkert and Julia Herkert. She is further survived by loving brother and sister in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Clarice (Pamperin) and Richard W. Sommers; her mother-in-law and father in-law, Charlotte (Lorenzoni) and Raymond C. Remondini; and her two brothers, James E. Sommers and Richard C. Sommers.

Visitation will be held at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St., on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2026, at the church. Susan will be laid to rest in the Allouez Chapel Mausoluem. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

Memorials may be designated in Susan’s name to the American Heart Association American Heart Association. In addition, one of Susan’s wishes was for funeral service attendees to wear some red in support of the American Heart Association.

Finally, the family would like to thank all the ICU nurses and doctors at Bellin Hospital for their compassionate care during Susan’s final days. Ray and Toni are especially thankful and forever grateful to Krystina Putnam the palliative care nurse practitioner who supported the family during their hospice journey.
