Virtuosi Live (formerly the Brown County Civic Music Association) is entering a century milestone as it celebrates 100 years of bringing high quality performance to northeast Wisconsin.
In collaboration with The Weidner, Virtuosi Live has brought together a powerful lineup of performers.
The association has once again collected different musicians and brought them together and, starting Oct. 6, will be performing in Green Bay.
The performances will take place in various halls of The Weidner.
The line up this year includes Daniel Ho, a musician stemming from Hawaii with a cultural sound.
Composer Dr. Nolan Gasser will be heading an immersive concert experience, breaking down the science behind music and guiding the audience through the reason music affects us.
On the actual day that marks their 100 year journey, April 22, there will be a gala to take place starting with a jazz performance by Wynton Marsalis, the Lincoln Center director of artistic director and the Lincoln Center Orchestra at 7 p.m. who will join the gala after.
Gala tickets are separate from performance tickets that day.
Throughout its 100 years, Virtuosi Live has stayed rooted to their main values while still expanding its horizons.
President Laura Fisher-Bonvallet has emphasized the importance of cultivating more musically diverse performers, this year hosting folk, classical and jazz.
The passion behind Virtuosi Live and the amount of tickets sold hints at many more successful years to come for the association.
