GREEN BAY – Schreiber Institute for Women’s Leadership, a part of UW-Green Bay Continuing Education and Workforce Training Division, is hosting its 5th annual Celebrate Conference with this year’s theme focusing on energy.
Hosted at UW-Green Bay’s Weidner Center, Celebrate 2026 will take place on Feb. 26 featuring keynote speaker Erin King, “Leading expert of energy, specifically in leadership,” said Pa Lee Moua, executive director of the Schreiber Institute for Women’s Leadership.
“What you bring to the table is what you get,” said Moua regarding King’s focus.
From 2 to 3 p.m., there will be a check-in and welcome portion. The Weidner Theater doors will open at 3 p.m., with King starting around 3:30 p.m. She will conclude around 4:30 p.m., with a wrap-up to follow. There is a social immediately following the keynote that includes appetizers, coffee, desserts, two open bars, and many opportunities to network and connect with organizations, leaders, members, and students in the community.
During this energetic evening and keynote, participants will have the opportunity to complete a questionnaire that provides insight into their personality, strengths, areas for improvement and the overall energy they bring to the table.
The Schreiber Institute for Women’s Leadership has partnered with Capital Credit Union to sponsor the day’s speaker.
“There are elements that force women to stay in their lane, and this institute really allows women to look at their future differently,” said Laurie Butz.
UW-Green Bay reached out to Laurie Butz, the current president and CEO of Capital Credit Union, to seek her input and later invited her to teach within the institute, which has since flourished into a meaningful, solid partnership.
“Erin King’s keynote resonated with us at Capital because we focus on whatever you bring to the table is what energy you will get back,” said Butz. “Be intentional, be open, be kind and love one another.”
King is a globally renowned speaker whom the Schreiber Institute for Women’s Leadership is grateful to host.
In the past few years, the Schreiber Institute for Women’s Leadership has hosted five annual Celebrate events, each with a different theme.
Last year, Alicia Pelton channeled the research she conducted on women and girls in sports. In 2024, the institute invited Jeffery Tobias Halter, who spoke about the importance of women in leadership and emphasized the role of male allyship in that process.
“I get really excited to celebrate,” said Moua. “I am especially excited because I truly believe what you bring to the table is what you get from it.”
This year is no different, bringing a new twist on energy and connections that can change your future.
