The Neville Public Museum has announced the award winners for its 81st Art Annual exhibit.

The 81st Art Annual exhibit is an all-media, juried exhibition of current artworks produced by artists living in the counties of Northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

A total of 74 artworks by 63 regional artists are represented in this show juried by Judy Cusick.

“Every image was a surprise. From skeletal remains to pink forests, familiar landscapes and sky scenes, and also offerings in clay, wood, metal, fiber, beads. They told 255 individual stories, and one great synopsis about the state of visual art in Northeast Wisconsin; that it is alive and well....” Cusick said. “Thank you to Neville for offering this curating challenge to me. For the 255 artists who submitted your work, I owe you a debt of gratitude for trusting me with your gifts of art and your words that give it life. ”

1st Place is awarded to Catherine Ventura for “She Was A Creative Voice.”

2nd Place is awarded to Christine Style for “Dream Date at the Fair.”

3rd Place is awarded to Peggy Riemer for “Mist on the Marsh”

Honorable Mention is awarded to Maria Victoria Walker (aka Lila Brochá) for “Currents of Light;” to Stephen Wysocki for “South Lawe Street Bridge;” and to Bob McIlraith for “Immigration I.”

This juried art exhibition began in 1942 during the height of World War II. For three-quarters of a century, many of this region’s most celebrated and talented artists have exhibited their work as part of this Green Bay tradition.

The 81st Art Annual will be on display at the Neville Public Museum through Nov. 8.
