BOOyah Fundraiser to benefit Grounded Cafe

The Grounded Café, located at the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Brown County, has announced its upcoming BOOyah Fundraiser in support of its mission of providing meaningful employment opportunities for older adults and individuals with disabilities.

The BOOyah Fundraiser promises a day of delicious food and community fun. Guests of all ages and all abilities will enjoy hearty, homemade booyah, hot dogs and hamburgers and take part in a variety of activities, including live music, trick-or-treating tables hosted by local community partners, festive games and activities for all abilities, a costume contest, a pumpkin carving contest and opportunities to learn more about ADRC programs and services while supporting the Grounded Café’s mission of inclusion and empowerment.
The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Grounded Café at the ADRC of Brown County, 300 S. Adams St., Green Bay.
“Grounded Café is more than just a coffee shop — it’s a place where people of all abilities can connect, learn and thrive,” said Jeremy Sluszarek, ADRC community dining manager. “The BOOyah Fundraiser is a wonderful way to bring the community together to support this mission while enjoying a fun and family-friendly fall tradition.”
Proceeds from the fundraiser will directly benefit Grounded Café, helping sustain its programs that create job training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities and older adults in Brown County.

The Grounded Café, operated by the ADRC of Brown County, is a unique non-profit community café where older adults and individuals with disabilities work side by side to serve customers. The café is dedicated to fostering inclusion, building connections and empowering individuals through meaningful employment opportunities.
