This holiday season, Seroogy’s Chocolates is inviting chocolate lovers to count down to Christmas with a taste of local history. The De Pere chocolatier began pre-sales for its new, limited-edition Advent Calendar on Oct. 6, offering customers a nostalgic holiday experience inspired by Seroogy’s nearly 130-year history in De Pere.
Only 1,000 advent calendars will be produced as part of this one-time release, making the $79.99 calendar a limited holiday keepsake for Seroogy’s fans and anyone looking to add a little local tradition to their holiday festivities. Over the 25 days leading up to Christmas, fans will discover some of their favorite Seroogy’s treats, from mini meltaways and rich caramels to chocolate-covered Oreos, fudge and more.
The experience extends beyond chocolate. The calendar’s hand-illustrated artwork, created by Portland-based artist Mandy Arroyo, celebrates Seroogy’s heritage and the De Pere community that has been home to the chocolatier since 1899. The charming, detailed artwork includes hidden “Easter eggs” for customers to discover as they count down to Christmas. It’s part chocolate, part local history and part festive family tradition, all wrapped into one special experience.
“We wanted to create something that brings together the traditions, stories, community and, of course, chocolate that have made Seroogy’s so special for generations,” said Martha Seroogy, president of Seroogy’s Chocolates. “The ‘Holiday House’ is a nod to our own history. From the 1950s through 1992, when my grandfather Al led the company, we were known as Seroogy’s Holiday House. Bringing that piece of our past back to life felt like the perfect way to celebrate where we’ve been while creating a new holiday tradition for families today.”
Pre-orders for Seroogy’s Advent Calendar are open now at seroogys.com. The calendars will officially launch in November and will be available for purchase at Seroogy’s retail locations in De Pere and Ashwaubenon, online or by phone at (920) 336-1383, while supplies last.
