Virtuosi Live! will present the world-renowned Canadian Brass on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts.
This performance is the headlining event of the Virtuosi Live! season, featuring one of the most iconic and beloved ensembles in classical music.
For more than five decades, Canadian Brass has captivated audiences worldwide with its unmatched virtuosity, infectious humor and genre-defying repertoire that spans classical masterworks, jazz, Broadway and popular favorites.
Their performances combine technical brilliance with an engaging, accessible concert experience that appeals to seasoned concertgoers and newcomers alike.
“This is the concert that defines our season,” said Laura Fisher-Bonvallet, President of Virtuosi Live!. “Canadian Brass represents the very best of what we strive to present — artistry at the highest level, joyful connection with the audience and a performance that will resonate long after the final note. We are thrilled to bring them to Green Bay.”
Beyond the concert hall, Canadian Brass will also engage directly with the community through educational outreach activities, working with area high school and college students during their visit.
These activities reflect Virtuosi Live!’s long-standing commitment to music education and to inspiring the next generation of artists and audiences.
“Education and community connection have always been central to our mission,” Fisher-Bonvallet added. “Having Canadian Brass work directly with local students is incredibly meaningful. These experiences give young musicians the chance to learn from world-class artists and to see firsthand what is possible through dedication, creativity and collaboration.”
The concert also comes at a pivotal moment for Virtuosi Live!, which is approaching its 100th anniversary in 2027.
Founded in 1927 as the Brown County Civic Music Association, the organization has spent nearly a century enriching the cultural life of Northeast Wisconsin by presenting exceptional live music from around the world and investing in education and outreach across the region.
