This week will bring the eighth concert in the 2025 Levitt AMP Green Bay Music Series, an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy free live music while also transforming underused public spaces into thriving community destinations.
The concert series began June 1 and continues each week through Aug. 3.
The July 20 concert will take place in Leicht Memorial Park from 4-6:30 p.m., featuring opener Nikki Morgan and headliner Fox Crossing Stringband.

How would you describe your music?
Carolina soul.
What inspires you to create music?
People and stories and the little ideas that keep popping into my head. I’m always getting ideas that nag at me. They are inspired by stories and the people around me. They really won’t let me be until I create, so I keep making music.
What is your favorite part of performing live?
As much as I love connecting with audiences I would say my favorite part of performing is being able to be my full self. I’m actually a really shy person and the stage is one of the places I feel comfortable with (and like I have permission to be) my biggest, fullest self.
What are you most looking forward to audiences hearing/experiencing at your concert?
The stories! People always say they enjoy my stories. I used to think I talked too much when I performed but people kept telling me that’s that part they like the most, so I’ve learned to embrace my rambling. Storytelling is truly one of the most important traditions and past times. It’s how we stay connected to each other, to ourselves, and to the ones who came before us. So I feel honored to share my stories with people.
How would you describe your music?
Fox Crossing Stringband is a bluegrass band from Chicago, IL that pushes bluegrass boundaries. We blend traditional roots with pop, blues and rock, creating a unique and exhilarating live music experience. We love to bring our bluegrass instruments (including fiddle, banjo, dobro, guitar, mandolin and bass) to unpack a variety of genres with a fresh, folk twist.
What inspires you to create music?
We’re very inspired by original songwriting and pairing that with strong harmony singing. The band has been going for eight years strong and we lean on each other vocally and with songwriting concepts we seek to share. Fox Crossing has released two studio albums that highlight original songwriting and renditions of classic hits, and we look forward to recording again this winter to share our new sound.
What is your favorite part of performing live?
Our favorite part of performing live is to get to connect with our audience. Our songwriting includes some fun and cheeky tunes that highlight everything from breakups to murder ballads. It’s a joy to see the audience get pulled into these storylines from our songs and laugh when they catch our jokes.
What are you most looking forward to audiences hearing/experiencing at your concert?
We’re looking forward to having a great time and sharing a fun blend of bluegrass, blues, rock and pop tunes. There’s a little something for everyone and we hope you’ll enjoy the evening with us!
