Brown County Library is proud to announce that its new library location in Ashwaubenon will now be officially named Pamperin Family Branch Library, following a generous contribution by the Pamperin family in support of the library’s mission and future.
The new library is currently under construction on the corner of Cormier Road and San Luis Place.
This name recognizes both the philanthropic support of the Pamperin family as well as their longstanding civic contributions, including those of Ted Pamperin, who played a pivotal role in the library’s history.
“The Dan and Lori Pamperin Foundation is dedicated to the development and care of children. The Brown County Library is a great asset for child development in the Village of Ashwaubenon,” stated Lori Pamperin.
Mary Kardoskee, Ashwaubenon Village President, expressed her appreciation for the Pamperin family, “Thanks to the Pamperin family’s generous contribution, the vision of a modern library that meets the needs of our community is now a reality. Years ago, Ted was on the Library Board and was instrumental in securing the branch that we currently have. Through his years as Village President, Ted was always a visionary to move our community forward. It is an honor to announce this new facility with the Pamperin name.”
Ted Pamperin served on the Ashwaubenon Town Board (later to become the Ashwaubenon Village Board) and Brown County Board during the time the Ashwaubenon Library was first built in 1977, working diligently to ensure its creation and sustainability.
He later continued his commitment to libraries as a member of the Library Board from 1986-1991 and again from 1995-2000, helping guide library initiatives, services, and community programs for a decade.
“The Pamperin Family Branch Library is more than a new building — it’s a symbol of what public-private partnership can achieve,” said Troy Streckenbach, Brown County Executive. “The Pamperin family’s generosity, and Ted Pamperin’s service to this community, will continue to benefit our residents for years to come.”
The Pamperin Family Branch Library is expected to open in early 2026 and will feature a fireplace, drive-up window, quiet reading room, community room, spaces designed for children and families and more.
This vibrant and dynamic modern library will serve the community with early learning and literacy programs, support for lifelong learning, and essential technology access.
“Few individuals have given as much time, passion, and advocacy to our library system and community as Ted Pamperin,” said Jayme Sellen, Brown County Library Board President. “The Pamperin family’s gift builds on that legacy in a way that will benefit generations of readers, learners, and neighbors.”
