How did you get started playing your sport?
Basketball - Both my parents played and had an older cousin that I looked up to a lot that also played. Been around it my whole life.
Football - Played flag football and a little bit of tackle football growing up, didn’t play in middle school due to COVID and injuries. I decided to try it out in high school and fell in love with the sport.

How has the balance between academics and athletics changed for you from freshman to senior year?

It has taught me a lot about how to manage my time. Figuring out when to do my homework throughout the week while still going to practice and games.

What is your favorite part of this sport?
Building relationships and a brotherhood with the guys around me. When you love the guys around you, it’s easier to play your hardest for them

What is the most challenging part of this sport?
Overcoming setbacks and mental blocks. Yes football is a very physical game, but I think there is also a key mental aspect to it as well. Staying out of my head and not letting setbacks compound benefitted me.

What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?
Winning Round 1 in the playoffs and celebrating with the guys afterwards.

Do you have a bucket list goal that pertains to your sport?
Be an all conference football player at the collegiate level.

Do you have any pre-game rituals/routines/superstitions?

Eat the same combinations of food at team meal and write the names of those who I play for on my wrist.

Dream vacation destination?
Alaska or Italy.

Favorite food?
Mac and cheese.

Random fun fact about you?
I have a cousin that was born on the same day and same year as me.

Any hobbies outside of your sport?
Hunting & fishing, video games, Legos, listening to music.

Favorite movie/TV show?

Cars.

Looking forward to most about graduating?
Being able to look back and see how far I’ve come and be proud of everything that I’ve accomplished.

Any summer plans before going off to college/work?
Make money and enjoy the summer with my friends and family.

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to shout out?
I would like to shoutout Coach Marsh and Coach Krause for always believing in me, and not only pushing me to be the best football player that I can be, but molding me into the man I am today.
I’d also like to shout out our athletic trainer, Mel. I unfortunately spent a lot of time injured in her room and she always made sure my needs were met, whether it was helping me get back from an injury or giving me snacks after a long day or practice. :)

Future Plans? (college, major, career, etc.)
Attend UW-Steven’s Point and major in Physical Therapy.
Plan to play football at UW-Steven’s Point as well.
