Shipyard District welcomes new business

Posted

Shipyard District, Inc. recently celebrated the grand opening of Happy Hour, a new cocktail bar at the heart of the Shipyard District.

The new cocktail bar is located at 813 South Broadway (formerly The Public Haus) and officially opened on Friday, March 21, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and brief remarks by district officials and business owner Don Mjelde.

Mjelde also currently owns and operates Richard Craniums, located at 840 South Broadway in the Shipyard District.

“It’s new small businesses like Happy Hour which attract dollars to our district, contribute to a revitalized riverside corridor, and create a true downtown destination,” said Tarl Knight, director of Shipyard District, Inc. “Thanks to proprietors like Don Mjelde and his continued reinvestment in our district, South Broadway continues to shine with a standout variety of food and drink offerings for locals and visitors alike. We offer Don and his team our congratulations on their new business.”

More information about Happy Hour can be found on their Facebook page.
