Packerland Sunrise Rotary Club celebrates record success at ninth annual Puttin’ for a Purpose

The Packerland Sunrise Rotary Club is celebrating the success of its 9th Annual Puttin’ for a Purpose miniature golf event, held Aug. 6 at Duck Creek Golf Center in Howard.

This year’s event was the club’s most successful yet, bringing together community members, sponsors, volunteers and supporters for an evening of miniature golf, food, fun and prizes.
Guests enjoyed friendly competition throughout the evening, including a chipping contest, hole-in-one contest, 18-hole miniature golf tournament, and 50/50 raffle.

The event also provided an opportunity to recognize the club’s commitment to local students, including the awarding of two scholarships to graduating seniors.

“We are grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Puttin’ for a Purpose such a success,” said Nancy Loberger of the Packerland Sunrise Rotary Club. “From our generous sponsors to the families, golfers, volunteers and community members who came out to support the event, this success reflects what can happen when people come together for a shared purpose.”

Proceeds from Puttin’ for a Purpose support the Packerland Sunrise Rotary Club Foundation’s charitable projects throughout the community and around the world.

This year’s success also helps lay the foundation for the club’s upcoming Storybook Trail project at Spring Green Park.
